Walking over clouds
Falling into the abyss
Seeing through tears
Feeling what I miss
Life will always be unfair
But it’s bearable with love and tender care
Two fragile items taken for granted by too many
Sadly not knowing what they are worth till you don’t have any
Love and friendship is like a glass sphere
Beautiful, perfectly shaped and clear
But oh so fragile
When mistreated it can break into a million pieces
A million pieces there waiting to be picked up one by one
Mended into a whole is their desire
So its beauty can return and inspire
That day might never arrive
But with lots of hope for that we strive
So one day we might see
A ladder in the abyss
Maybe not yet high enough to reach the clouds
But to render us free to love and care once more
To again have love and friendship to explore
