The fight carries on

You’re still holding on
Still fighting strong
Not getting beaten down

Fighting the pain you must have
But trying to be the man you always been
My grandfather, the rock, the strong being

I never want you to leave
In a life without you I can’t believe
Knowing this is sadly impossible

A tear escapes my eye
Fearing a dreadful goodbye
In a distant future that’s getting all to near

I always knew
I would die later then you
But that later will be way too soon
