Me despair
I sit on the couch
Look aside
No-one is there
I look towards the bed
The sheets are empty
Feeding my despair
Stepping out
Closing the door behind
Not wanting to notice
The sign with room for two filled by one
A familiar name sitting all alone
The bar is full of people
Yet no-one is there
A drink for a moment fills my despair
The band aid on the wound in need of stitching
Glaring at the couples that are
Smiling at them vaguely from afar
Walking home through the rain
The sad symbol of my pain
Going to bed tired
Tired but not of sleep
So much to give
