A peep show into my heart $1 entry please

Living in the shadow of what I should be
For I am not truly the man you see
Bright, cheerful and happy I might appear
Yet full of doubt, terror, despair and fear
Hurt too many times before
But still running towards getting hurt some more
Will my life ever become
The thing to which I long
Love and being truly loved back
And happiness being all but a lack
This day will surely come I see in my dreams
But till then my tears will run in streams
