Middle ages, long ago
Remembered now from books or maybe a show
Brutal times they were
At least that’s what they tell
Civilization nowhere to find
Men was more cruel and unkind
It was like living in hell
Daggers at dawn
Swords at noon
Pistols at dusk
Wars were decided
With sword and one shot musket
In some cases marriage could settle the divided
Now we kill an enemy we do not see
Firing missiles miles away from places save and free
Pressing a button
A nation becomes forgotten
One trigger 60 rounds
Even when the first makes him hit the ground
Hi-tech and stealth
Bombs that make the earth melt
If this is civilization
Give me the middle ages,
For salvation
