Counting the hours
Awaiting the second
That another mark is set
Turning a fraction older
But counting a year
Celebrating a year well closed
Hoping for another just the same
Raising a glass with friends
Toasting on what i might be
Sharing the day with loved ones
Ending a year with laughter
Starting the new hungover
Setting step in my 27^th year on earth
Cheering the fact i made it through 26 already
Getting only a fraction older
But counting a year
The 26^th mark will be set
